Replacing the Cabin Filter on A4 Jetta/Golf TDI

Transcript:

So here we are underneath the glovebox on the passenger’s side of the car. These two white marks here signify the two screws we need to remove. You can actually just take them out with your fingers—they’re designed to be removed without tools. If they’re too tight you can use a flathead screwdriver.

With those out of the way all we need to do is pull this panel down and out. Here’s the underside of the airbox, and this panel right here is where the cabin filter is. Grab this tab here and pop the cabin filter out.

Disgusting. This cabin filter has not been changed for a real long time. Brush any excess debris out of the housing. Slide the replacement filter in the way the old one came out. It may not stay in place until you get the cover on. Replace the cloth covering and finally the two screws.

That’s all there is to it. Thanks for watching.
