Last week we attended the 25th anniversary Automechanika in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a huge and exciting show. How huge? All we can say is after attending this show for the first time two years ago, the SEMA show in Las Vegas seemed small. The event expected 133,000 visitors and 5,000 exhibitors across 12 buildings this year.

Inside Automechanika Frankfurt 2018
We love this show because we love German diesels. All the parts suppliers you’ve heard of, and a lot you haven’t, were at the show and we were able meet with a lot of them. It’s wonderful to put faces with suppliers’ that don’t make it to the US often, and to meet new OES suppliers. We usually come away from the show with lots of ideas on how to improve the quality and value of our offerings at IDParts, and this year was no exception. Watch for new products and manufacturers on our site in the coming months!
The show also has a vintage car area, which had an array of Unimogs, some running obstacle courses, new and old RVs, a mechanics’ competition, and other activities. Lots of fun. Check out some of the photos we took at the show below.

If you don’t know what this is, google “Unimog” and prepare to be impressed.
