We’re often asked why we carry certain brands and why we don’t carry others. The simple answer is that not every part that fits a diesel deserves a spot on our shelves!
We may not be a repair shop, but we do drive diesel vehicles ourselves. We know how frustrating it is to replace a part only to have it fail early or create new problems. That plays a big role in how we decide what brands we offer. We use all of our kit’s default brand options in our own cars. When you see a kit with options like Fremax, Rowe, Hengst, UFI, and Halten, you can know that we trust these brands for use in our own daily drivers.

When evaluating new brands, we try to think like our customers. We ask a basic question: would we trust this brand on a vehicle we rely on every day? If the answer is no, we move on.
Quality comes first. We focus on OEM parts, OEM suppliers, and aftermarket brands that have proven themselves over time. Diesel engines place high demands on components, and parts that cut corners rarely hold up in the long run.

You may have noticed this before: you order an OEM part, open the box, and see that the actual component was manufactured by a brand like Bosch, Valeo, or Mahle. That’s because vehicle manufacturers don’t typically make most parts themselves. They source them from specialized suppliers and package them as OEM items. We take the time to identify who supplies those OEM parts and source them directly from the original manufacturer. This allows us to offer the same high-quality components without the OEM markup.
We also pay close attention to failure rates.
Returns, warranty claims, and customer feedback all matter. If a part shows a pattern of problems, we take a hard look at it and will switch brands or remove it from our catalog.
Fitment details matter as well.
Engine codes, connectors, VIN splits, and small design differences can make a big difference to your vehicle. That’s why our product listings often include extra notes and compatibility information. We’d rather give you too much detail than not enough!

Whenever possible, we prefer to build complete kits. Parts and kits that include the proper gaskets, seals, and hardware help reduce surprises and make it easier to do the job right the first time. Customer feedback plays an important role in what we stock. What you tell us influences which brands we carry, how kits are built, and how products are described. We’re always listening.
Our goal is simple: take the guesswork out of buying diesel parts. When you order from IDParts, you’re getting parts chosen with care, backed by real data, and selected by people who own diesels.
If you ever have questions about a brand recommendation, just ask. We’re happy to help.
